I picked up a used hardtop. It's in decent shape (needs new seals), but it's red. As this is late December, it's the right season, but a paint job is in order. I also need some hardware to keep it in place; I picked up some nylon cable ties, which let me get it home, but they don't inspire much confidence.
Update: I repainted the top, using marine fiberglass black paint. It looks better; not perfect, but not embarrassing (at least not from 10 feet or more).
Another update: I sold the hardtop - now that the car is in the garage, I rarely use the top at all, even in the winter.
